Virtual Bookkeeper Oversight Plan

A monthly professional review of your bookkeeper's work, built for small business owners who want confidence in their books without paying for a second full-service provider.

Most business owners who hire a virtual bookkeeper have no reliable way to know if the work is being done correctly. This plan is the missing layer.

A Professional Review of Your Bookkeeper's Work, Every Month

Hiring a bookkeeper solves one problem: getting the work off your plate. It doesn't answer the question of whether that work is accurate. Bookkeeping errors accumulate quietly. Miscategorized expenses, unreconciled accounts, missed transactions. Most slip through undetected until tax season, when fixing them costs time and money you'd rather spend elsewhere.

I perform a monthly bookkeeping quality review of your books personally, drawing on more than 15 years of small business accounting experience. It's not a replacement for your bookkeeper. It's the accountability layer most business owners don't know they're missing.

What Each Monthly Review Includes

Every month, I review your books across the four areas where bookkeeping errors most commonly occur and cause the most damage over time.

Step 1:

Reconciliation Verification

Your accounts are checked to confirm that every account has been properly reconciled for the month and that balances match your bank and credit card statements. Unreconciled accounts are the most common sign of errors that have been accumulating without notice.

Step 2:

Expense Categorization Review

Transactions are reviewed for miscategorization — the most frequent source of bookkeeping errors and one of the most costly at tax time. Incorrectly categorized expenses affect both your financial reporting accuracy and your tax position.

Step 3:

Error Flagging and Documentation

Any issues found during the review are documented clearly, with a plain-language note describing what was found and what needs to be corrected. Your bookkeeper can address flagged items as part of their regular workflow.

Step 4:

Monthly Written Summary

You receive a brief written summary of that month's review: what was checked, what was found, and whether your books are in good order for the period. Plain language, no jargon.

$99 Per Month. No Contracts.

The oversight plan is $99 per month, flat. No hourly components, no add-on fees, and no pricing that changes based on the size of your books. You know the full cost before anything begins.

Questions About the Oversight Plan

  • How do I know if my virtual bookkeeper is doing a good job?

For most small business owners, the honest answer is that you simply don't know. Not without a qualified financial professional reviewing the work on a regular basis. The Virtual Bookkeeper Oversight Plan gives you a structured, recurring answer to that question every month, so you're not waiting for something to go wrong at tax time to find out.

  • Is this the same as a monthly bookkeeping review service?

Yes. The oversight plan functions as a monthly bookkeeping review and bookkeeper monitoring service for small business owners who already have a bookkeeper in place. Where it differs from a full-service bookkeeping arrangement is scope: this is a review layer, not a replacement. Your bookkeeper continues doing the work. This plan verifies that the work is accurate.

  • Does this mean I'd be paying for two bookkeepers?

No. Your current bookkeeper handles the bookkeeping. The oversight plan adds a monthly review at $99 per month. That's a fraction of what correcting a year's worth of errors typically costs during tax preparation, and significantly less than a second full-service bookkeeping arrangement.

  • Can I combine the oversight plan with one of the bookkeeping courses?

Yes, and it's one of the most practical combinations this practice offers. You complete a course to learn to manage your own books, then add the oversight plan for monthly confirmation that the work is accurate. It gives you the confidence to stay in control of your own records without wondering whether something slipped through.
